Accessibility Statement

At McKean Smith, we are committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including individuals with disabilities. This statement was last updated on 10/02/2025.

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved through the capabilities of the system on which the site operates, as well as the use of assistive technologies.

We strive to meet or exceed the accessibility standards outlined by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 and to comply with all relevant accessibility laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). While we utilize Wix Studio’s Accessibility Wizard to support WCAG 2.2 compliance, we recognize that automated tools have limitations and continue to review and improve accessibility through ongoing evaluation and user feedback.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

  • Used the Accessibility Wizard to find and fix any potential accessibility issues

  • Set the language of the site

  • Set the content order of the site's page

  • Defined clear heading structures on all of the site's pages

  • Added alternative text for images

  • Structured our content with proper HTML elements to be compatible with screen readers

  • Implemented color combinations that meet the required color contrast

  • Made all forms accessible by using clear labels and instructions

  • Reduced the use of motion on the site

  • Ensured all videos, audio, and files on the site are accessible

  • Our office locations are designed to meet ADA accessibility standards, including accessible entrances, restrooms, and pathways. We welcome feedback and requests for reasonable accommodations.

Declaration of partial compliance with the standard due to third-party content

The accessibility of certain pages on the site depends on content that does not belong to McKean Smith, but instead belongs to other third-party websites. The following pages are affected by this: Resources (news and articles) and the Resource links at the bottom of the attorney profile pages. We therefore declare partial compliance with the standard for these pages.

Ongoing Improvements

We regularly monitor our site and implement updates to improve accessibility. We also welcome feedback from users to help identify any barriers or issues that may arise.
